The crematorium complex includes one chapel, a public waiting room with toilets, a Book of Remembrance room, and an enclosed open-air flower court for viewing floral tributes after the service.

Chapel capacity: up to 90 seated, with additional space for up to 30 standing in the entrance hall.

Kent & Sussex Crematorium offers a private funeral service webcast, viewable live on the day or on demand for up to 28 days after the service. It’s provided on request (for an additional fee), and families receive a unique username and password to share with viewers they choose.

Some families use the venue webcast. Others prefer an independent specialist when they want:

• a private link they control (and longer availability of the final recording)

• additional audio backup options for speeches/readings

• filming that includes arrivals/cortege (where appropriate), not just the chapel

Discreet camera placement

We set up in an approved position so we’re not distracting, not blocking walkways, and not drawing attention during the service.

Clear audio (the most important part)

Where possible, we capture audio from the chapel’s system (or an appropriate source), with backups in place so readings, tributes and music remain clear for viewers at home.

Reliable streaming

We plan connectivity in advance. If venue Wi-Fi isn’t suitable, we use an alternative setup so the stream stays stable for viewers joining from the UK and overseas.

Recording included

A full recording is provided afterwards, so anyone who couldn’t watch live can still view the service.

To avoid any last-minute stress, we typically arrive 45–60 minutes before the service to set up, check audio, and confirm the stream is ready. If you’d like arrivals coverage, we’ll arrive earlier to capture it properly.

If your day includes a second location after the crematorium (for example a burial elsewhere), send us the timings and we’ll confirm what’s realistic.
