Funeral Live Stream is operated by Funeral Filming. This notice explains how we handle personal information connected with this website, enquiries, bookings, live streams and recordings.

Information we use

We use contact details and the service information you provide when enquiring or booking, such as dates, venue details, the order of service and coverage requests. Filming and live streaming may capture the image, voice and contributions of people attending or participating in a service.

Why we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries, arrange and deliver the agreed service, provide recordings, manage bookings and payments, and protect our website and business. We rely on contractual requirements where processing is needed for a booking, legitimate interests where appropriate for enquiries and administration, and legal obligations where records must be retained. We use consent where required for optional website technologies or public marketing use.

Viewing links and recordings

Viewing access, delivery and online replay arrangements are confirmed with the booking. A person receiving a viewing link or downloaded recording may be able to forward it. Discuss any access restrictions or concerns about who is filmed before the service.

Marketing clips

We may ask for separate permission to use selected clips in marketing. Booking a service does not by itself give permission for public marketing use. If you do not want your clips used for marketing, please let us know.

You can contact us to withdraw permission for future marketing use. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully. Please contact us promptly if you have a concern about a clip.

Who may receive information

We share information where needed to deliver and administer the service, including with your funeral director or venue and providers supporting hosting, communications, payments, video hosting or streaming. Viewers receive the agreed stream or recording. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Links, embedded videos and third-party services have their own privacy information. For example, see Vimeo, Google and WhatsApp. Third-party services may process information outside the UK; their privacy information explains their arrangements.

Retention

Enquiry and booking information and original recordings are normally retained for one year. Information may be kept longer where needed to meet legal obligations or deal with a dispute. Online replay availability is confirmed separately with your booking. Download your delivered recording if you want to keep a copy for long-term access.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and the basis for processing, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, object to processing, or request a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it. Contact us using the details above so we can consider your request and verify your identity where necessary.
